Introducing your 2022-2023 league President.... CRISTI YATES!

Hello West Valley Fastpitch!!

I am so excited to serve as the President of our league this year! My history with West Valley goes back to the 90's when I was a player here! My softball journey started out rough (I was terrible my first year), but I loved the game and - after a lot of work, practice and bruises - ended my playing days as a multi-year AllStar with quite a few trophies my teammates and I earned!
After being away from the game for 10 years, I was asked to help coach in the 18u's and I have been hooked ever since. Since my return to WVFP, I have coached in 12u, 14u and 18u. Each age group comes with its own unique challenges but also it's own rewards. I have learned so much from the girls, coaches, and parents I have coached and love seeing them overcome challenges and excel on and off the ball field.
Recreation softball is a passion of mine and I am a very vocal advocate for the benefits it offers. I strongly believe in the power of sports and what good sportsmanship teaches our players and parents.
I am excited for the future of our league and to work with our softball families. West Valley Fastpitch offers a fun and competitive softball experience for any girl in our many communities... and I can't wait to get started!
